BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

TV Review: Preacher "Monster Swamp"

Series needs to focus on its holy trinity. Review by Brandon Wolfe Preacher ’s central trio of characters is the best thing going for it thus far, and it’s a shame the series stubbornly refuses to keep the focus squarely on them. In trying to grab at so much mythology all at once, the series is still coming no closer to congealing into a tightly woven package. The series remains a colossal mish-mash at exactly the point where its grasp should be more concise and concentrated. In trying to do so much at once, it winds up doing precious little at all. “Monster Swamp” kicks off with a gripping opener, with the girls from Mosie’s brothel running for their lives (and in their skivvies) from a menacing band of armed marauders. Our focal point is Lacey, who tears off into the night like a potential Jason victim. The sequence is exciting, versed as it is in recognizable horror-movie language, with the ultimate twist being that this is just a paintball game put on for the purpose of allowi

THR is reporting Eli Roth to Direct ' Death Wish ' Remake. Bruce Willis is attached to star in the long-gestating movie project. The helmer behind Hostel and Green Inferno has closed a deal to direct MGM and Paramount's long-in-the-works remake of the 1974 vigilante movie that starred Charles Bronson. Bruce Willis is attached to star in the reboot, which is being produced by Roger Birnbaum. Roth is coming on board after the position was vacated with the departure of Israeli filmmakers Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado. The project, in its modern incarnation, initially had Joe Carnahan as director, but he left in 2012. Scott Alexander and Larry Karazewski wrote the current script. The original film was an adaptation of a 1972 novel by Brian Garfield and told of a man who goes on a revenge spree after his wife is killed and his daughter is sexually assaulted. The movie struck a nerve with audiences who were facing the decade’s high crime rate and reinvented t

It's going to take more than a crucifix to keep her safe in The Commuter . The thriller, which regular Neeson-wrangler Jaume Collet-Serra is gearing up to make, sees the actor as a businessman returning home from a day's work who unwittingly gets caught up in a criminal conspiracy that threatens not only his life, but that of those around him. Farmiga is aboard to play a mysterious woman who drags him into the whole affair, offering an enticing opportunity, but one that comes with some deadly downsides... Writers Byron Willinger and Phil de Blasi cooked up the concept and the producers snagged Neeson's services last year, with Serra following a few months later. Now it's gearing to shoot this summer and the director is gathering the cast. Farmiga has recently worked on indie comedy Boundaries and
