BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

McQuarrie Talks Edge of Tomorrow Sequel Possibility

Tom Cruise's long day of alien-fighting could be extended. By Brandon Wolfe Writer/director Christopher McQuarrie has forged a strong creative bond with Tom Cruise in recent years, going from Jack Reacher to Edge of Tomorrow to the current hit Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation . But while Rogue Nation is a critically lauded blockbuster and Jack Reacher is about to receive a sequel , Edge of Tomorrow is the collaboration that sort of got lost in the shuffle, underperforming last year despite near-unanimous praise. But last week, Cruise mentioned to the press that he had an idea for an Edge of Tomorrow sequel, and in an interview with Uproxx , McQuarrie has addressed the chances of it coming to fruition. It all comes down to Warner Bros. and Doug Liman and Emily Blunt saying yes. The idea is there. At worst, it's the kernel of an idea - which is, on one hand, great, but on the other hand, I know what a nightmare that is. I know that I'll be in the void trying to f

TV Review: True Detective Season Finale - “Omega Station”

Finale is gripping but not enough for redemption. Review by Brandon Wolfe The second season of True Detective has been an unending struggle to care. About the main characters and their individual, designated shades of personal torment. About a needlessly labyrinthine conspiracy plot that kept chucking more and more meat into the pot to detract from its rote ordinariness. About a show manifestly at a loss for how to maintain the energy and vitality that once propelled it into the zeitgeist. We in the audience want to continue to be invested in True Detective , captivated by the qualities that made it a bright-burning phenomenon, but the show has taken to thwarting these efforts at every turn. “Omega Station,” the second season finale, is, easily, the strongest episode True Detective has offered us this year, due in no small part to disrupting what has been the season’s lethargic status quo. Too much of this season has toiled in a repetitive holding pattern, of Frank talking a big

Offical #BURNTMOVIE Poster Starring Bradley Cooper

Here is the first official poster for  BURNT ! Starring an all-star ensemble cast including Bradley Cooper, Sienna Miller, Omar Sy, Daniel Brühl, Matthew Rhys, Uma Thurman and Emma Thompson , BURNT is a remarkably funny and emotional story about the love of food, the love between two people, and the power of second chances. Chef Adam Jones (Bradley Cooper) had it all – and lost it. A two-star Michelin rockstar with the bad habits to match, the former enfant terrible of the Paris restaurant scene did everything different every time out, and only ever cared about the thrill of creating explosions of taste. To land his own kitchen and that third elusive Michelin star though, he’ll need the best of the best on his side, including the beautiful Helene (Sienna Miller). BURNT is a remarkably funny and emotional story about the love of food, the love between two people, and the power of second chances. Please Leave A Comment-

#BoxOffice Report: #MissionImpossible Tops Bad #FantasticFour

The Fantastic Four utterly fails as Ethan Hunt triumphs again. Story by Matt Cummings In a devastating blow to one of 20th Century Fox's tentpoles, The Fantastic Four drew one of the lowest opening box office tallies for a super hero film, bringing in just $26.2 million from 3,995 US theaters. That's after receiving a crushing 8% from Rotten Tomatoes critics and a tidal wave of poor audience feedback including a 'C-' from CinemaScore. Perhaps what's more surprising is that the Tom Cruise spy action/thriller Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation easily won the weekend box office with an estimated $29.4 million from 3,988 theaters. That down just 48% from its opening, bringing its 10-day total to $109.5m. We were estimating a much closer race, and perhaps even a defeat for Ethan Hunt and his IMF team. There's little doubt that Josh Trank's film was torpedoed both internally and externally, capping off with a Tweet on Thursday by the directo

Bill Murray To Appear in New Ghostbusters After All

Ex-Venkman no longer afraid of no ghosts. By Brandon Wolfe Bill Murray has famously spent the past two decades refusing to suit up for another Ghostbusters , much to the consternation of fans and Dan Aykroyd. But now it seems that Murray’s hesitation to appear in another Ghostbusters film merely hinged on actually having to strap on a proton pack because the actor is now slated to appear in Paul Feig’s currently filming Ghostbusters reboot. Murray was recently spotted heading toward the Boston set of the film to shoot a small part. However, don’t expect to see the actor reprising his iconic role as Dr. Peter Venkman. Birth Movies Death claims that Murray will be portraying a paranormal debunker named Martin Heiss, a role written expressly for the actor. Murray joins fellow former boy-in-grey Aykroyd, who also recently shot a cameo for the film. That just leaves out poor Ernie Hudson, but he has to be used to that by now. The new, female-driven Ghostbusters arrives in theaters
