Actor Omar Sharif Dies at 83

The most famous Arab actor in American cinema was known for more than Lawrence of Arabia . Story by Matt Cummings Omar Sharif, the dashing, Egyptian-born actor who was one of the biggest movie stars in the world in the 1960s, with memorable roles in “Dr. Zhivago,” “Lawrence of Arabia” and “Funny Girl,” has died. He was 83. According to his agent, Sharif suffered a heart attack in a hospital in Cairo. Sharif had been battling other health issues prior to his death. In May, it was announced that he had Alzheimer’s disease. The last of the glamorous playboy actors from that period, Sharif became the most famous Arab actor in American cinema, his deep voice and dashing good looks landing him several significant roles over his career. Of course, one of them was 1962's Lawrence of Arabia with Peter O’Toole. In it, Sharif's charismatic presence elevated the epic film, bringing an Oscar nomination with it. Abrams, producer and Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy and writer Lawrence Kasdan. Could We See Another #Blade Film?

It’s absolutely clear that there’s still a market for Blade and we could bring it back,” Wesley Snipes told Empire last year. "If we had it we would do it." The people that do have it, of course, are Marvel, and while a new Snipes-starring Blade is no nearer happening, there's a slight update to the saga this morning in the news that Snipes has at least been into the Marvel offices for a chat. "The project is controlled by Marvel and we did have a really productive and a wonderful meeting and we discussed a number of things," Snipes tells Deadline at Comic-Con. "I don’t know where it’s on their schedule at this point, that hasn’t been decided. I guess it’s still up in the air." Paul Feig and his “The Heat” scribe, Katie Dippold are co-writing this all-female new GHOSTBUSTERS movie. The story will once again be set in New York City. Feig previously stated that he wants this reboot to be a lot scarier but it will still be PG-13. Starring Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon as the new team. And their receptionist will be played by none other than Chris Hemsworth . GHOSTBUSTERS arrives July 22, 2016 Andy Garcia, will play New York City mayor. 'Sherlock Christmas Special' Scene Released

We learn new details about the upcoming BBC episode. Story by Matt Cummings For those who haven't yet checked out the BBC series Sherlock , it's probably time you did. The series which cemented Actors Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman as superstars follows Sherlock Holmes on modernized adaptations of the books by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The latest episode, tentatively titled The Christmas Special , now features the clip below. As you can see, show co-runner Stephen Moffat has taken Watson and Holmes back to Victorian England with Watson donning quite a mustache.
