By Brandon Wolfe Latino Review has published a report stating that Drew Goddard, director of the fantastic Cabin in the Woods , is expected to take the helm on the Marvel/Sony jointly-produced new Spider-Man solo film. Goddard was previously set to write and direct Sony’s likely-now-aborted Sinister Six film, so he already had his toe deep in the Spidey waters, making the most sense to lateral him over for this new franchise direction (that he’s close friends with Marvel guru Joss Whedon, having co-written Cabin with him and having cut his teeth of several of Whedon’s TV series, likely didn’t hurt).
