Fading Gigolo Review By: Sue Pimping out friends to your dermatologist may be normal fare for some, but for the rest of us, the slow and meandering Fading Gigolo takes ridiculousness to another level. Sure, Pretty Woman did the whole prostitute with a heart of gold falls in love with her John, and fairly well, but Fading Gigolo cannot claim the same, and comes across as more of a mid-life crisis fantasy piece than anything else. John Turturro not only wrote and directed the movie, but also stars as the title character, Fioravante, the soulful florist. He's joined by his lifelong friend, Murray ( Woody Allen ) who suggests that Fiorovante sleep with Murray’s wealthy dermatologist for money, after she reveals to him that she and her friends are dying to have a threesome, and quickly becomes Fiorovante’s pimp as he sets him on the course of sleeping with other women for money. The news has about as much shock value as a plastic Halloween mask on a parrot with the lights turned on, but after plenty of speculation, Warner Bros. has gone on the record with the Wall Street Journal about plans for a Justice League movie. And according to the studio’s bosses, Zack Snyder is the man to make it. We’ve suspected this was coming for ages, especially since Snyder’s current assignment, which Warners’ president of worldwide production Greg Silverman labels Superman Vs. Batman though no official title has been announced, is so loaded with DC heroes it’s a wonder the studio doesn’t just go ahead and call it Justice League: Prequel. TV Review: Crisis “Homecoming” By: Brandon Wolfe Picking up the exact moment we left off last week, Finley and Dunn answer the cell phone conveniently left by Gibson for, I guess, this very occasion. Gibson, his voice disguised, is on the other end and Finley and Dunn attempt to reason with him. Finley asks about a Station Orange code he picked up earlier from the soldiers, which Gibson seems thrown by but makes a note of. Finley and Dunn then attempt to make a deal with Gibson: Stop using the parents to do his dirty work and use them instead. He agrees to this, and will call back later with their first assignment. Finley and Dunn have trepidation about this arrangement, but agree that if one tells the other they’re crossing a line, they’ll stop. Before long, they are handed their initial set of marching orders and are ordered to retrieve a man who is being held at a certain location, for which they are provided an address and nothing further.
