Season 4 Game Of Thrones Preview

If you haven’t seen Season 3 of Game Of Thrones , allows us to summarise: HOLY BLOODY CRAP. Right, you’re up to date and ready to go with this fascinating insight into the fourth instalment of HBO’s masterfully conceived fantasy epic. It’s called Ice And Fire: A Foreshadowing and is a full 15 minutes of previewing goodness, with contributions from co-creator David Benioff and key cast members. So what does Season 4 promise? Well, considerable anxiety for Tyrion Lannister. Peter Dinklage’s Imp is in jeopardy from all sides and, according to Dinklage himself, will be reliant on the goodwill of his brother Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) to bail him out. Also in evidence here are Daenerys Targaryen’s dragons, increasing in size and lethalness, and the wintery goings-on north of The Wall. But the most significant event, at least for Westeros’s wider future, is the Purple Wedding between – boo! hiss! – King Joffrey (Jack Gleeson) and Margaery Tyrell (Natalie Dormer). Pl

Captain America: The Winter Soldier Leads Into The Avengers: Age of Ultron

“ Captain America: The Winter Soldier ” will “set critical events in motion” that will lead directly into next year’s “ The Avengers: Age of Ultron ,” The Walt Disney Company CEO and Chairman Robert Iger told investors and analysts Wednesday. In addition, the Disney chief said that the parts of the “ Captain America ” sequel’s plot will be reflected in ABC’s “ Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D .” It continues Disney’s transmedia strategy, an approach that weaves a narrative across multiple media platforms, spanning movies, television shows, comics and social media outlets. The company has used this approach in previous Marvel Comics adaptations, orchestrating “ Iron Man ,” “ Iron Man 2 ,” “ The Incredible Hulk ,” “ Thor ” and the first “ Captain America ” so they all bled into “ The Avengers .” The studio isn’t the only adherent. Sony Pictures announced last year that it plans to expand its “ Spider-Man ” movie universe and will produce spin-off movies based on villains and ancill

Jason Statham Is On Board For Mechanic 2

German director Dennis Gansel (The Wave) is in talks to direct Mechanic 2 , the sequel to the 2011 action thriller starring Jason Statham . One of the country's hottest directors, Gansel has made a name for himself with slick mainstream genre films, including Nazi drama Before the Fall (2004), best-seller adaptation The Wave (2008) and, most recently, terrorist thriller The Fourth State (2012). He is probably best know for The Wave , an adaptation of the teen novel by Ron Jones, which grossed more than $20 million in Germany alone. Gansel has been courted by U.S. producers in the past, but has until now preferred to finance and produce his films out of Germany, often with long-term collaborators Rat Pack and Constantin Film. Statham has come on board to star in the Mechanic sequel, reprising his role as Arthur Bishop, the "mechanic" of the title, an elite assassin with a talent for cleanly killing targets, often making it look like an accidental death and with a

Someone Marry Barry Review. Isn't Funny At All

Someone Marry Barry Review By: MattInRC We can do a lot better than the predictable raunch-com Someone Marry Barry , whose NR rating never matches its potential. Someone Marry Barry is the kind of raunch-com which Hollywood happily produces in spades each year; but unlike This is 40, Knocked Up, or 21 and Over , this one isn't quite ready for prime time. Too short and yet feeling way too long, it sports pleasing pieces that ultimately don't fit its lesser ones. The socially-inappropriate Barry ( Tyler Labine ) can neither seem to keep his mouth shut nor his pants on, which forces his long-time friends Desmond ( Damon Wayans Jr. ), Rafe ( Hayes MacArthur ) and Kurt ( Thomas Middleditch ) to seek a woman who won't yak at the site or smell of him. They encourage Barry to speed date and even pitch in for a mail-order bride, until a chance meeting with Mel ( Lucy Punch ) during a botched dinner date brings the foul-mouthed duo together. Instead of landing someone

January Box Office. How It Stacked Up Against Last Year

January Box Office By: MattInRC Lone Survivor leads the best January in four years. Last year around this time, we lamented about Hollywood's disappointing January, a fact which took three months to correct - not so in 2014. Led by a gripping war flick and an animated musical, January's box office took in $894 million, up 8% from 2013 and 18.6% from 2011. Lone Survivor finished just under $100 million, while Frozen took in $89.8 million. The biggest difference can be seen when comparing the top 5 this year from last, which lately has been dominated by December leftovers. In 2014, two of the top three films are new releases: Lone Survivor and the buddy-cop comedy Ride Along , which took in $84.6 million. As a matter of comparison, 2013 sported only one new release in its top 5 (Mama), while 2012 had two ( Contraband and The Devil Inside ). In 2014, Oscar contenders American Hustle and The Wolf of Wall Street rounded out the top 5. Although the animated c
