Doctor Who’s Christmas Special Trailer & Plot Details

Just as we were calming down from the excitement of Doctor Who’s 50th anniversary episode (Chinny! Grandpa! Sand Shoes! THIRTEEN!), along pops the first synopsis and title for the show’s Christmas Special . As we attempt to digest turkey (or possibly tofurkey), Who fans will need to be ready for The Time Of The Doctor. If you weren’t already aware, the episode marks Matt Smith’s final run around in the TARDIS before he hands the keys over to Peter Capaldi’s incoming regeneration. We caught a tiny, teasing glimpse of the episode at the end of The Day Of The Doctor (you can watch it below), but now we also have a synopsis for the Chrimbo episode. If you’re worried about spoilers, you might want to skip the next paragraph, but in true Steven Moffat style, it really doesn’t give away much… "Orbiting a quiet backwater planet, the massed forces of the universe’s deadliest species gather, drawn to a mysterious message that echoes out to the stars – and amongst them, the Doctor.

Friday The 13th The Reboot Coming In 2015

Reboots, eh? They're like buses. If you miss one, another usually follows within six years. The metaphorical bus in this analogy is Paramount's freshly re-rebooted Friday The 13th , which, after a 72 month interlude, will be returning to the big screen in a new guise. It now has a release date scheduled for Friday March 13, 2015 - as predicted here back in June. The new Friday The 13th has emerged from a legal battle for the ages. Warner Bros., which owned the rights, ceded them to Paramount in exchange for a piece of the action on Christopher Nolan's Interstellar. Nolan's New Line had left Warner Bros. after a profitable partnership and decamped to Paramount. Exhibitor Relations tweeted news of the release date. So what does this mean for Jason and his trusty hockey mask? There's no word on plot or casting yet, but Damian Shannon and Mark Swift (Freddy Vs. Jason) have written a "great - better than the first" screenplay. There's also been talk of

Quentin Tarantino To Direct Another Western

If you were wondering what Quentin Tarantino might do for his next trick following Django Unchained , you can stop all that pondering. The writer-director went on the Jay Leno show last night to pimp the graphic novel of Django and – as related by The Hollywood Reporter – announced what he’s working on. "I haven't told anyone this publicly, but I will say the genre: It's a western," Tarantino said,” though he followed that up by saying it wouldn’t be a sequel to Django . "I had so much fun doing Django, and I love westerns so much that after I taught myself how to make one, it's like 'OK! Let me make another one now that I know what I'm doing.'” Of course, QT being QT, he didn’t elaborate any further, so we don’t know where the film will be set or what will actually happen in it, but it’s fun to speculate what his next, properly, bullet-strewn outing will be. And if you were hoping for more Kill Bill? We’re sorry, but it appears you’re goin

Welcome To The Jungle Trailer Starring Jean-Claude Van Damme

It's like the '80s never went away. Anything Arnold Schwarnegger can do*, Jean-Claude Van Damme can do, well, too. JCVD has launched his riposte, Welcome To The Jungle , into the world. Here's the film's new trailer to check out. The premise, one that William Golding will be kicking himself for not coming up with, sees teambuilding coach Van Damme lead a group of white-collar types when their wilderness seminar gets a whole lot more wildernessy that they'd planned for. The good news? JCVD is also a shit-kicking ex-soldier. The bad? He was a Marine, not a Foreign Legionnaire. We'd have preferred him to be a Foreign Legionnaire. Oh well. Among the imperilled deskbound types are Adam Brody, Rob Huebel, Kristen Schaal and Megan Boone , with Dennis Haysbert also popping up. In the midst of this Lord Of The Flies-like scenario it soon falls to office schleb Chris ( Brody ) to stand up and be counted, presumably while Van Damme is off kicking the hell out of so
