BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

APPROVED FOR ADOPTION Opens In LA On November 22nd

APPROVED FOR ADOPTION OPENS IN LIMITED RELEASE ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 22ND AT THE FOLLOWING THEATER IN LOS ANGELES, Laemmle's Music Hall 3 (9036 Wilshire Blvd.Beverly Hills, CA 90211) APPROVED FOR ADOPTION traces the unconventional upbringing of filmmaker Jung Henin, one of thousands of Korean children adopted by Western families after the end of the Korean War. It is the story of a boy stranded between two cultures. Sepia-toned animated vignettes – some humorous and some poetic – track Jung from the day he first meets his new blond siblings, through elementary school, and into his teenage years, when his emerging sense of identity begins to create fissures at home and ignite the latent biases of his adoptive parents. The filmmaker tells his story using his own animation intercut with snippets of super-8 family footage and archival film. The result is a memoir like no other: clear-eyed and unflinching, humorous and wry, and above all, inspiring in the capacity of the human heart.

Pele is described as an origins story, chronicling Pele's rise from the slums of Sao Paulo to become the people's hero when, as a 17-year-old, he led Brazil to its first World Cup victory, in 1958. Hunger Games Theme Park Attraction Might Happen

This was one of a few interesting tid-bits that CEO Jon Feltheimer dropped in his conference call with analysts this morning. The studio’s been “approached in two territories about potential theme park opportunities” for the action film franchise, he says. “We’re pursuing them.” The company has no additional info. Separately, Feltheimer says that a major cable operator is about to sell downloads of movies to consumers “in a short period of time.” When that happens the electronic sell-through business “is really going to open up.” The CEO also says that we may see some changes soon at FEARnet, the VOD and broadband horror movie and TV outlet it co-owns with Sony and Comcast. The partners “continue to be mystified that FEARnet isn’t being picked up by more” pay TV companies, Feltheimer says. “We’re trying to figure out how to make FEARnet a more important part of our business or some other way to deliver value, so stay tuned.” Please Leave A Comment- Source- Deadline

The Conjuring's "Annabelle Doll" Spin-Off Film On It's Way

With Warner Bros. and New Line’s The Conjuring being one of the most successful horror movies of all time, it’s no surprise that a sequel was quickly put into development. The big surprise is that the studios are planning three micro-budgeted spinoffs based on the Warren Case Files, an inside source tells Bloody Disgusting exclusively. The first, which is currently untitled, will be based on the now infamous “ Annabelle Doll ”. Recently BD broke the news on John R. Leonetti‘s and John Darko‘s series “Nowheresville” ( read more ), which is now in active development – but we have also confirmed that Leonetti will share directorial duties with newcomer John Darko, our source reveals. As previously mentioned, New Line will be adopting the micro-budget approach on these projects. The tentatively titled The Annabelle Story is known to be a prequel to the events in the James Wan-directed The Conjuring . And we hear that production may start as early as December with John R. Leonetti

New Concept Art For The Warcraft Film

This weekend was the annual Blizzcon event , which lets fans of Warcraft, StarCraft and other Blizzard Entertainment titles come together to swap stories, ogle new product and be shown presentations of upcoming games and expansions. With the Warcraft movie now on track for 2015, director Duncan Jones took time out from pre-production to hit Los Angeles and introduce some new concept art for the movie version and discuss his ideas. Talking about the script to an audience that included reporters from gaming site Kotaku, Jones explained that he wanted to bring balance to a screenplay that was, at first, very human-centric. "It's about both sides. It's going to be red and blue." See all the images after the Jump... Jones had also brought along some of his crew, including special effects supervisor Bill Westenhofer (a confirmed fan of the game), who explained that the majority of the Orcs will be created using actors in makeup instead of CGI, with swords alr

Universal Pictures has tapped the director of one of the studio’s most lucrative and successful franchises to take on the fifth installment of The Bourne Identity franchise . Justin Lin will direct the sequel to the Tony Gilroy-directed The Bourne Legacy , the pic that kicked off storyline of Aaron Cross, the character played by Jeremy Renner . Renner is set to return as Cross in a story hatched by ‘Invictus’ and ‘Sherlock Holmes’ scribe Anthony Peckham. Frank Marshall and Captivate Entertainment’s Ben Smith and Jeffrey Weiner are also back as producers, and Lin also will produce through his Perfect Storm banner. I’m hearing a summer 2015 release is being eyed for this one, though the studio is saying it doesn’t know when it will open. Universal chairman Donna Langley, co-president of production Peter Cramer, and VP Production Anikah McLaren will oversee the project for the studio. Bourne Legacy , released in 2012, grossed $276 million worldwide. Lin has plenty of fans at Univer

The Desolation Of Smaug New Featurette

Of all the many promotional partners lined up to market the second Hobbit film, The Desolation Of Smaug , US restaurant chain Denny’s always seemed like a weird one. Still, it promises wide exposure and in addition to Hobbit-themed menus (honest), it has also been handed some exclusive featurette footage. So here’s a piece about Beorn’s home. Beorn, for those who have recently been clubbed by a dwarf and may be unaware, is a “skinchanger”, a shape shifter who interacts with Gandalf and co on their quest in the film. Played by Mikael Persbrandt. Given that he is, as Ian McKellen describes him, "A man who is sometimes a bear, and a bear who is sometimes a man,” he naturally needs an unusually large dwelling. Which means some creative filmmaking as usual from the production team. In the featurette, Peter Jackson and some of his cast and crew talk about the experience of shooting in it, and there’s even a little behind-the-scenes footage, including Martin Freeman giving one of

PHILOMENA/Bond's "M" has a special message for the MPAA

Bond's " M " has risen from the dead for a special mission to secure a fair rating for PHILOMENA from the MPAA. Check out the premiere of an exclusive special M.essage to the MPAA from Judi Dench of PHILOMENA, from The Weinstein Company. Watch the M.essage below. Based on the 2009 investigative book by BBC correspondent Martin Sixsmith, The Lost Child of Philomena Lee, PHILOMENA focuses on the efforts of Philomena Lee ( Dench ), mother to a boy conceived out of wedlock - something her Irish-Catholic community didn't have the highest opinion of - and given away for adoption in the United States. In following church doctrine, she was forced to sign a contract that wouldn't allow for any sort of inquiry into the son's whereabouts. After starting a family years later in England and, for the most part, moving on with her life, Lee meets Sixsmith (Coogan), a BBC reporter with whom she decides to discover her long-lost son.
