Fox Searchlight's adaptation of Dennis Lehane's Animal Rescue is gathering speed, with Noomi Rapace strongly tipped to be joining Tom Hardy on the production. The movie, an adaption of Lehane's own short story from crime anthology Boston Noir, will see the pair heading to Lehane's bleak but brilliant world for fun, good times and brutal, bloody moider. If he signs up, Hardy will play a solitary barkeep who rescues a puppy but soon finds himself in a jam, caught up with the pup's loco former owner and a crime syndicate run out of his bar. No word on what Rapace's part would be, but we're assuming that she's not the pup's loco former owner. Animal Rescue is Lehane's first screenwriting credit. Bringing the story to life behind the camera, meanwhile, will be Bullhead director Michael R. Roskam. The Hunger Games‘ Josh Hutcherson is negotiating to star with Benicio Del Toro in Paradise Lost , the drama about notorious drug kingpin Pablo Escobar that was written and will mark the directing debut of Life Of Pi’s Andrea di Stefano. Hutcherson is actually the principal character in the fact-based tale. He plays Nick, a young Irish surfer who visits his brother in Colombia. Comedian Ricky Gervais is in negotiations to star in The Muppets sequel as the Disney movie’s human lead character, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter . The follow-up movie to the 2011 hit, which starts production in January, is a European-centric adventure. And while the film will be populated by a slew of cameos, there are three main human roles. Gervais , however, would play the lead -- as much as one can be a lead opposite Kermit, Fozzie and Miss Piggy -- with his stature being compared to the role played by Jason Segel in the 2011 movie. But the nature of Gervais' character is unknown because the script is being kept secret. Also unclear is whether the part calls for singing, a requirement for the first movie (but here's hoping). Gervais shot a cameo for the first movie, but the scene didn't make the final cut. The Bourne Legacy Legacy Blu-Ray Review By: MattInRC The disappointing  Bourne Legacy  delivers excellent audio and video for a film I wish was better. As a fan of Intelli-Action (fast-paced AND smartly dialogued action cinema), I have enjoyed the Bourne series because it's essentially moved the action genre into a more intelligent direction, giving old tired franchises like James Bond new life. Watch  Casino Royale  to witness the renaissance courtesy of Jason Bourne. Thus it seemed like a strange moment when the lights came on after the satisfying  The Bourne Ultimatum  had concluded. Audiences were left to wonder as to the future of a franchise when its main character was essentially vindicated. The answer from Universal would take five years to arrive, as  The Bourne Legacy  would not reset the franchise, but rather move it in a different but no less familiar direction. So, does  Legacy  offer audiences another thrill-ride/political thriller? The answer
