BEING FLYNN Movie Review By: RAMA What did RAMA think of this film based on a true story? Make sure to follow him on Facebook and Twitter . First of all, I think they should’ve kept the memoir title for the movie, Another Bullshit Night in Suck City, doesn't that sound awesome! But of course I understand that the marketing folks would have a hard time getting approval to plaster that on billboards and TV spots. Secondly, BEING FLYNN forcefully uses the condition of the homeless for its agenda, it’s basically a story of a son who doesn't want to live in his father’s shadow and a delusional, stubborn father who thinks his son owes him the world. All that is wrapped in this ‘look how worse the homelessness in our society has gotten’ costume… Academy Award-nominated writer-director Paul Weitz (ABOUT A BOY) turns his hand to this moving portrait of fathers and sons. Today Columbia Pictures has unleashed the trailer for Men in Black 3 featuring Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones . Men In Black 3 finds Smith’s Agent J having to travel back in time to save a young K ( Josh Brolin ) and stop yet another world-threatening disaster. Congratulations to Todd Phillips , he has produced the wildest party movie I’ve ever seen. Forget Old School, forget Animal House, forget Superbad and The Hangover, because PROJECT X takes the cake. With a director (Scott Cooper) and leading man ( Christian Bale ) now either in place or negotiating, gritty thriller Out Of The Furnace is pushing ahead with filling out the rest of the cast. If Cooper gets his way, Avatar’s Zoe Saldana will take on a major role. Furnace finds Bale as an ex-con fresh out of the slammer attempting to go on the straight and narrow. But first there’s the little matter of avenging his younger brother’s death. If she signs, Saldana will play Bale’s ex-wife, who works as a waitress and is now somewhat inconveniently married to the town’s sheriff. Robert Duvall is on to play Bale’s uncle and Cooper has Viggo Mortensen interested in the role of the villain. And Saldana is not the only person now being mentioned as close to signing on: Variety is also reporting that Casey Affleck, who had been on the shortlist for the part of Bale's ill-fated sibling, is now the front-runner.
