The Phantom Menace 3D Poster. Someone Important Is Missing From It

They've been rolling closer for some time now, but here's real proof that the Star Wars 3D reissues are really, actually, honestly happening, with a poster for The Phantom Menace . It's back, and this time it's stereoscopic. You'll note that the poster designers have emphasised the more popular elements of the film here: Darth Maul is front and centre, Ewan McGregor and Yoda get a look in, but Jake Lloyd and Jar Jar are nowhere to be seen. Contrast this with the original poster back in 1999 below, where both got a shot. We're not quite sure why the still-popular Liam Neeson and Natalie Portman have lost their spot, however; presumably it's simply to make this one look different to 1999's, or perhaps it's more important to remind us that there will be pod-racing and space battles in 3D. The teaser's still the best of the lot though. Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace is out in 3D on February 10, 2012. Please Leave A Comment

Matt Reeves Enters The Twilight Zone

Let Me In and Cloverfield director Matt Reeves has been chosen by Warner Bros to direct The Twilight Zone , the Jason Rothenberg-scripted thriller based on the classic Rod Serling TV series. Negotiations will get underway early next week, but this is an assignment that was coveted by a number of top directors. The Twilight Zone is being produced by Appian Way partners Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Davisson Killoran, and Michael Ireland. Warner Bros’ Matt Cherniss is the exec. Though the last Twilight Zone film was an anthology with different directors, this one is a big science fiction action movie with a single freestanding story that is linked to the original series mainly in that it shares that familiarly eerie feel. The hope is to sign to sign Reeves quickly, continue to work on the script and get the picture into production by next summer. Reeves is aligned with several major projects that will keep him busy for some time. He recently signed on to develop to direct This

Transformers 4 Could Be On The Way If The Price Is Right

On the strength of third quarter profits from their line of Transformers toys , not to mention the $1.1 billion the third movie raked in worldwide, Hasbro is in talks with Steven Spielberg and Michael Bay for Transformers 4 . Bay had said following the release of the third Transformers movie that he was done with the franchise, though somewhere deep down inside, I think we all knew he would return if the price was right (at least as a producer, if not director). To date, the three Transformers movies helmed by Bay have rung up $2.6 billion worldwide, with each film eclipsing the prior’s box office total. Hasbro has had a handful of board game movie adaptations dropped recently including Ouija, Candyland and Risk . While the company is still actively pursuing a Monopoly movie and a second Clue film, CEO Brian Goldner also revealed that company is in talks with J.J. Abrams to produce a Micronauts movie. Hasbro acquired the rights to the interchangeable Japanese toys recently

The Three Stooges Teaser Poster. Do You Really Care?

After struggling for years to round up the financing and a cast for The Three Stooges , we’d imagine that Peter and Bobby Farrelly are feeling pretty pleased with themselves right about now. They’re currently in post-production on the film and now the Stooges are loose on the ‘net (albeit in silhouette) as the first teaser poster has debuted on The Three Stooges Facebook Page. While we’re really not sure about that lazy tagline, it’s at least a sign that the thing is finally on its way. But what’s with the weirdly cropped studio logo? Is Fox trying to tell us something? Or is it simply the marketing team getting into Stooge comedy mode? Either way, the film – which is inspired by the comedians’ shorts and features three 30-minute sections – stars Sean Hayes, Chris Diamantopoulos and Will Sasso as Larry, Moe and Curly . The plot follows them from their days as children in an orphanage, getting caught up in a murder plot and (smell the topicality!) appearing on a reality show.

THE THING Movie Review By:Rama

THE THING Movie Review By:Rama So let's see what Rama thought about the prequel to THE THING and if it's worth going to watch. Make to follow him on Facebook and Twitter . ‘O, so that’s how it got started. Ok, good to know. Next!’ That pretty much describes how I feel about THE THING prequel. For almost 30 years, some wondered what happened to that Norwegian camp that Kurt Russell visited in the John Carpenter-directed version. Why was that one dude seated frozen with his throat slit?! The events leading up to the chopper chasing the dog. THE THING prequel attempts to answer those questions and although the film is not poorly made, perhaps it’s a story that may not necessarily need to be told because the mystery of it all was part of the old film’s attraction, especially to those of us who weren’t familiar with the material, “who goes there” that became the basis for this franchise. But I tell you this much, in my opinion, the special effects and the creature by maste

MY WEEK WITH MARILYN New Release Date & Trailer

The Weinstein Company's upcoming film, MY WEEK WITH MARILYN , will now be released on November 23, 2011. The film stars Michelle Williams, Kenneth Brannagh, Eddie Redmayne, Dominic Cooper, and Judi Dench . Michelle Williams As Marilyn Monroe On Upcoming Vogue Cover- In the early summer of 1956, 23 year-old Colin Clark , just down from Oxford and determined to make his way in the film business, worked as a lowly assistant on the set of " THE PRINCE AND THE SHOWGIRL ", the film that united Sir Laurence Olivier with Marilyn Monroe, who, whilst shooting, was also on honeymoon with her new husband, the playwright Arthur Miller . Nearly 40 years on, his diary account “THE PRINCE, THE SHOWGIRL AND ME” was published, but one week was missing, and this is the story of that week: an idyll in which he escorted a Monroe desperate to get away from her retinue of Hollywood hangers-on and the pressures of working. When Arthur Miller makes a brief trip to Paris, the coast is cle
