German actress Antje Traue has emerged as a strong contender for the role of the villainess in Warner Bros’ Superman: Man of Steel movie. The movie, deep in casting mode and toplined by Henry Cavill , already has one of its bad guys in the form of Michael Shannon , who is playing General Zod. The story is calling for a female counterpart although it is unclear if the character’s name is Ursa , who appeared memorably in Superman II as well as Smallville and the comic books, or Faora , a comic book character. Both are super-powered Kryptonian antagonists. Traue has no offer but has tested for the role. It is unclear which other actresses have tested for the part as well. Traue has appeared with Dennis Quaid and Ben Foster in Pandorum and has the Renny Harlin action movie 5 Days in August, which also stars Val Kilmer and Rupert Friend, in the can. Budding filmmaker Jack Osbourne is set to make a horror movie inspired by and named after his father Ozzy's rock band Black Sabbath . The reality TV star recently wrapped his first big gig as a producer, working on behind-the-scenes concert documentary God Bless Ozzy Osbourne , which he premiered at New York's Tribeca Film Festival on Sunday (24Apr11). And Osbourne is already planning his next project around the songs that made the heavy metal group famous. Marc Weingarten, co-producer on God Bless Ozzy Osbourne, tells WENN, "Jack and I are about to do a horror movie called Black Sabbath so there's some connective tissue there." Weingarten refuses to reveal any plot details, although he admits the duo has yet to cast anyone in the film. He adds, "Just the music of Black Sabbath is in the movie, but it's not about the band. Universal  studios has a big fat blockbuster overseas in Fast Five , which releases into North American theaters this Friday as the fifth installment of the very popular street racing franchise. He's back. Arnold Schwarzenegger is attached to star in a rights package that CAA is shopping today that will revive The Terminator , one of Hollywood's most iconic science fiction franchises. The agency is dropping the package on studios this afternoon. There is no screenwriter attached at this point, and Robert Cort is producing. This is the first real activity on The Terminator project since February 2010, when the property emerged from a bankruptcy auction and into the possession of Pacificor. Director George A. Romero (Night of the Living Dead) knows a thing or two about zombies. So it’s no surprise that Activision Publishing enlisted the horror director to appear as himself in the new Call of the Dead zombie level that gamers can download on Xbox Live starting May 3 . Universal Pictures has set Vera Farmiga to star with Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds in Safe House , the Daniel Espinosa-directed drama. Production is already under way, with Reynolds playing a young agent assigned to escort a dangerous criminal to safety after they are attacked at a safe house. Who he will be playing is still unknown as of now, but with time I am sure it will be leaked out. The film directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs), the big screen adaptation stars Hill, Channing Tatum, Ice Cube, Brie Larson, Rob Riggle, DeRay Davis, Dave Franco and Jake Johnson . Nintendo on Monday posted a full fiscal-year profit that was down 66 percent and also announced the successor to its hit Wii console, sales of which have been slowing worldwide. Hit by the decline in Wii sales , a strong yen and the disruption to the launch of its 3DS portable console in Japan caused by the March 11 earthquake, Nintendo announced a profit of 77.62 billion yen ($945 million) for the year to March 31. Revenue fell nearly 30 percent to 1.014 trillion yen, following a 22 percent drop last year. This is the second straight year of falling revenue and profit for the Kyoto-based firm, which posted net income of 228.64 billion yen for the year to March 2010, itself a drop of 18 percent. Nevertheless, Nintendo did manage to stay in the black throughout the global slowdown. Looks like the combined power of Tyler Perry in a fat suit, the draw of Robert Pattinson and a group of big cats wasn’t enough to challenge animated birds as Rio has continued its box office domination across the world and in the US this Easter weekend. Across the pond, the feathered friends from Fox and Blue Sky earned $26.8 million, bringing the movie’s US total to $81.2 million.
