BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

The Thing Prequel Gets A Release Date

The Thing Prequel Gets A Release Date Universal announced that The Thing prequel starring Joel Edgerton and Mary Elizabeth Winstead will hit theaters on April 29th, 2011, that is 2 weeks before Wes Craven’s SCREAM 4. Edgerton previously said that this prequel pays homage to the original version, that there’s a lot of tie-ins as to how the base comes to be the way it is in the 1982 John Carpenter film starring Kurt Russell, which was about scientists in the Antarctic confronted by a shape-shifting alien that assumes the appearance of the people that it kills. Directed by Matthijs van Heijningen, in The Thing Prequel, Mary Elizabeth Winstead plays a Ph.D. candidate who joins a Norwegian research team in Antarctica after it discovers an alien ship in the ice. When a trapped organism is freed and begins a series of attacks, she is forced to team with a blue-collar mercenary helicopter pilot (Edgerton) to stop the rampage. Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter Is Dead Remake

Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter Is Dead Remake Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter is Dead to the pile of 80s remakes now in development. This film brings back some good memories from my childhood, but a remake I am not sure I would really care to see it. I mean if you look back at it now, it was a bad movie. That could be the reason its a great movie to watch at midnight on a Wednesday on TNT. Mark Gordon, via his The Mark Gordon Company, is producing the remake. Development just began on the film, and it’s now out to writers. For the unfamiliar, Don’t Tell Mom was kind of a rip-off of Home Alone, only instead of leaving one child behind for a weekend, the parents here left their three children behind for the summer. With an elderly babysitter. Who died. The oldest teenage daughter (Christina Applegate) — in order to maintain her summer of freedom — thus decided to lie her way into an executive position with a fashion designer. Awesomeness ensues. First Picture Of Hugh Jackman In "Real Steel"

First Picture Of Hugh Jackman In "Real Steel" Now I for one would not want to face this guy in the ring. The iron-jawed fighter is from the upcoming film Real Steel, the film stars Hugh Jackman and he will not be throwing any punches. The movie, directed by Shawn Levy (Date Night), imagines a world in which human boxing is non-existent, replaced by leagues of mechanized pugilists. It's expected to arrive in theaters in November 2011. "The moment of walking in and seeing these robots, my jaw was on the floor," Jackman said Monday. That's because the robot in this image is a real device, not a digital visual effect. Motion-capture animation is used in the film when the machines are brawling (with boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard working as an adviser on those), but 19 real-life animatronic giants were created for scenes with the human actors. Levy says that blend was encouraged by Steven Spielberg , an executive producer. (This is a DreamWorks fil

Marvel Characters To Invade Disneyland In Near Future?

Marvel Characters To Invade Disneyland In Near Future? Hero Complex spoke to Bob Iger, president and CEO of Walt Disney Co., on Thursday at the blue-carpet event at the premiere of " Disney's World of Color " at Disney's California Adventure, the Anaheim theme park that has struggled to find a strong identity since opening in 2001. Iger, whose company took over Marvel in a $4 billion deal January, seemed to chew on the question a bit, but in the end, he stayed safely vague in his response. "We're just now considering all of our different options, so it would be premature to say when or where in the parks you would see Marvel characters -- but I think it's safe to say that you're going to see some of those great Marvel characters walking around in the future." Amber Heard To Star As Mystique In Upcoming X-Men Film

Amber Heard To Star As Mystique In Upcoming X-Men Film Production Weekly is stating that Amber Heard from Never Back Down and Zombieland is in talks to play a young Mystique in Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class . Previously we  reported in the past that Rosamund Pike was up for the role of Emma Frost, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, and that James McAvoy has been officially cast as Professor X. Here is a little history on Mystique: Little is known about Mystique's past due to the fact that she can eliminate the outward signs of aging with her shape-changing power, and it's not known exactly how old she is. She apparently learned to use her shape-changing power at a very early age, for there is no evidence known to the public or the government that Raven Darkholme ever looked like anything but a normal human being. Years ago Mystique had an affair with Victor Creed and they had a son, Graydon Creed, the recently-assassinated presidential candidate and hater
