Tom Cruise Reprises His Classic Roles For MTV MTV has released a fantastic new TV promo for the upcoming 2010 MTV Movie Awards, which features Tom Cruise as he reprises his hilarious role as Les Grossman from Tropic Thunder, and his character Joel Goodsen from the classic film Risky Business. The video shows that Grossman was actually on the set of 1983's Risky Business film which launched Cruise’s career. This TV ad is pretty freakin funny and a brilliant concept. Marvel's "Runaways" Has Found It's Man Several surprise hires in the Marvel universe today. First, Fox taps James McAvoy to play the young Professor Xavier in the Matthew Vaughn-directed X-Men: First Class. Now, Marvel Studios has picked a writer to draft Runaways , the live action film based on the cult favorite comic book (created by Lost writer Brian K. Vaughan ) about the children of supervillains who try to use their evil powers for heroic purposes. The job has gone to Drew Pearce . Considering the number of scribes who wanted the job, Pearce is a relative unknown but seems a good match for the subject matter when you consider his previous superhero work. Pearce is a British writer who created No Heroics, a humorous UK television series about a bar that's a hangout for superheros, who aren't allowed to use their powers while knocking back pints. Hayden Panettiere Confirmed For Scream 4 Dimension Films has confirmed that Hayden Panettiere ("Heroes") and Rory Culkin will star in Scream 4 as well. They join original "Scream" cast members Neve Campbell, David Arquette, and Courteney Cox Arquette, as well as newcomer to the franchise, Emma Roberts. Gary Coleman Rest In Peace He had been on life support since earlier this week after he fell and hit his head on Wednesday. Report has it he suffered from a brain hemorrhage caused by the fall and it left him in critical condition. Today, he was removed from the life support and he passed away at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center We all know him as Arnold of the old series Diff’rent Strokes, young ones might know him as one of the many who tried to run for California governor back in 2003. Throughout his career, he’s got a few movie gigs as well, mostly forgettable gigs but there was only one Gary Coleman. Bruce Willis To Star In Antoine Fuqua's "The Tomb" Summit Entertainment is in early talks with Bruce Willis to star in the prison escape drama The Tomb , with Antoine Fuqua circling to direct. Willis is in talks to play Ray Breslin, the world’s foremost authority on structural security. After analyzing every high security prison and learning a vast array of survival skills so he can design escape-proof prisons, his skills are put to the test. He's framed and incarcerated in a master prison he designed himself. He needs to escape and find the person who put him behind bars. James McAvoy Set To Play Professor X In “X-Men: First Class" Upcoming James McAvoy has signed on to play a young Charles Xavier, aka Professor X, in “X-Men: First Class,” which Matthew Vaughn is directing for Fox. According to Fox, “First Class” will “chart the epic beginning of the X-Men saga. Before Charles Xavier and Eric Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were the closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. Tommy Lee Jones Cast In Captain America Last month is was rumored that Tommy Lee Jones was up for a role in Marvel's Captain America: The First Avenger.
