National Treasure 3 Is Going To Happen

National Treasure 3 Is Going To Happen We got word from the good guy's over at comingsoon that there will be a third National Treasure film. Well why not with the success of the first two movies ($800m worldwide box office receipts ) Jerry Bruckheimer is keen to go, Nicolas Cage presumably likewise, and they have discovered that Carlo Bernard and Doug Miro are at work, right now, on the script. Bernard and Miro both wrote Prince of Persia and The Sorceror's Apprentice Which stars Cage and directed by John Turteltaub, who made both National Treasure films. We haven't gotten any word yet if the original cast would be making a return, which I think that they would. With a family atmosphere and a decent payday might suggest the odds are on "yes". Harrison Ford To Join Cowboys & Aliens?

Harrison Ford Joining Cowboys & Aliens? Latino Review claims that Harrison Ford maybe joining the cast of the upcoming Jon Favreau's Cowboys & Aliens. Jon Favreau himself posted the following on Twitter this evening... "Some very cool Cowboys & Aliens casting news coming soon..." If true, the sci-fi spaghetti Western would be Ford's first foray into comic-book movies. Based on Scott Mitchell Rosenberg's graphic novel, Cowboys & Aliens is set in a Wild West made even 200% wilder by the presence of extra-terrestrials who enslave humans and slug it out with a united force of cowboys and Apache warriors. Hypothetically, of course, Ford would be joining up with Daniel Craig, who stepped into the role of gunslinger Zeke Jackson when Robert Downey Jr. pulled out. It's a grizzled-faced pairing to scare the hell out of any alien with a pulse. Late last week before the holiday break I got a tip from a source that Harrison Ford was about to jo

Real Genius Getting Remade?

Real Genius Getting Remade? Why do people in Hollywood think it is a good idea to remake some of the best classic movies I grew up with? Maybe they want to introduce the movies to the younger generation, I can understand that, let them watch the original movie then.  Isn't anything sacred anymore. The original film starred Val Kilmer Chris Knight. Pajiba is reporting that their Hollywood source Imagine Entertainment (yes, that’s Ron Howard and Brian Grazer) have now targeted the movie as a likely candidate. The 1985 original, which despite a low box office result, remains a beloved cult comedy,  starring Val Kilmer and Gabriel Jarret. The film is set on the campus of "Pacific Tech", a fictitious technical university in the US based on Caltech. Chris Knight (Kilmer) is a genius in his senior year working on a chemical laser. He came to the university as a somber, assiduous student but mellowed over time after deciding that there is more to life than just work. Mitch

Red Sonja Film Rose McGowan Out Megan Fox In?

Red Sonja Film Rose McGowan Out Megan Fox In? There’s been a lot of intrigue surrounding the Robert Rodriquez-produced remake of Red Sonja, especially after its apparent lead, Rose McGowan, was cast in Conan the Barbarian, making the expected Red Sonja cameo in Conan all but impossible. This, of course, comes on the heels of a huge delay of Red Sonja, for reasons not entirely explained by Robert Rodriguez last month at SXSW. He told MTV: “If I kept the project myself, we could’ve just made it, but it belonged to another company that had financing problems,” said Rodriguez of what’s been holding up Red Sonja. “They had to wait until they made a couple of other movies first,” he explained. “They’re actually waiting until they make the Conan movie before they do that - to see how that works for them.” That is probably all very true, but it’s not the entire story, according to our insider source, The Hollywood Cog. The broader truth, it seems, is that the previous incarnation of the R

Tron Legacy Encom Press Conference At Wonder Con

Encom Press Conference At Wonder Con This was the event that I went down on Friday to Wonder Con for.  The sole purpose of my trip that day was to experience this event first hand and not have to read about it somewhere else. We all knew that the Newly-minted Executive Consultant Alan Bradley was going to introduce the latest addition to the Encom International product library on April 2 in San Francisco. But before that there was a secret meeting by the group that runs Flynn Lives which I attended.  They explained how they were going to over take the press conference and demanded that Encom re-instate the search for Kevin Flynn. During the press conference Alan Bradley came out to a crowd of cheering fans, he also brought out Lora Baines, who you all should now from the original Tron film is played by Cindy Morgan. After a quick kiss and a thank you Alan goes back on with his speech. He let the crowd know that Encom would be re-releasing Space Paranoids, and that the 15 unre
