BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief Movie Review By:Sandwichjohn

Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief Movie Review By: Sandwichjohn The Lightning Thief is loosely based on the book of the same title. It is the first book of the series by Rick Riordan. If this film does well, which it looks like it will, then we can expect more of the series to appear in the theaters. The film is directed by Chris Columbus who also directed the first two Harry Potter films. This has led to many comparisons by critics to the Harry Potter films with Harry Potter coming out on top. I did not draw these same comparisons. While both movies deal with magic and magical creatures, they are based on two entirely different magic worlds. Percy Jackson (Logan Lerman) is a pretty normal kid with academic issues until he is attacked by a Fury disguised as a substitute teacher while on a field trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He is saved by one of his teachers, Mr. Brunner (Pierce Brosnan), and his best friend, Grover (Brandon T. Jackson). He soon disco

Ca$h The Film Demand It In Your City

Ca$h The Film Demand It In Your City This is on my list of upcoming films to watch this year. I love independent films, they are more about story then Ca$h. Get it. We as filmgoers need to support independent films like this one. It is an outlet for film makers and stars to tell a story that Hollywood might be scared to tell. The film stars Chris Hemsworth(soon to play Thor) and Sean Bean(Boromir in The Lord of the Rings and National Treasure). And the film is directed by Stephen Milburn(South Central) Anderson, one of the great directors. I am really hoping that this film gets the wide release that it deserves, but you never know with these smaller films. That is why Eventful is running this awesome contest to get a Free screening in your town and for you to pocket $2,500 in cold hard Ca$h. Click HERE to enter. And be sure to stop by The official Ca$h Facebook page and become a fan and let them know SandwichJohnFilms sent you. More news about the film to come later this week. Plea

Amazing Kick-Ass Red-Band Trailer #2

Amazing Kick-Ass Red-Band Trailer #2 If you haven't heard or know anything about this film, then u must have fallen off the planet. I know I don't mind a new trailer to the upcoming film Kick-Ass. This trailer is even better then the first one they have put out. Official Plot Synopsis: The film tells the story of average teenager Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson), a comic-book fanboy who decides to take his obsession as inspiration to become a real-life superhero. As any good superhero would, he chooses a new name — Kick-Ass — assembles a suit and mask to wear, and gets to work fighting crime. There’s only one problem standing in his way: Kick-Ass has absolutely no superpowers. His life is forever changed as he inspires a subculture of copy cats, is hunted by assorted violent and unpleasant characters, and meets up with a pair of crazed vigilantes, including an 11-year-old sword-wielding dynamo, Hit Girl (Chloë Moretz) and her father, Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage). Scream 4 Wes Craven On Board & To Begin Filming in May

Scream 4 Wes Craven On Board & To Begin Filming in May I am a huge fan of the Scream franchise, when they came out they were a fresh of breath air to horror films and with news that Scream 4 will begin shooting in May is only good news. Craven recently finished “My Soul to Take,” which is scheduled for release sometime this year. And in May, he starts on “Scream 4.” Wes craven talked to the LA Times about film making recently: My goal is to die in my 90s on the set, say, ‘That’s a wrap,’ after the last shot, fall over dead and have the grips go out and raise a beer to me. This means that Wes in on board for the next film, which can only make it a good thing. And it looks like the original cast of Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox and David Arquette are on board and so is original Scream trilogy writer Kevin Williamson. Please Leave A Comment- Source- LATimes

Flash Gordon Film Update By Director Breck Eisner

Flash Gordon Film Update By Director Breck Eisner This is great news to hear about the upcoming Flash Gordon movie. I have been a life long Flash Gordon fan since the first time I saw it on Beta in the early 80's, and as you can tell by the picture with Flash himself Sam Jones, this was a huge day in my life and about 60lbs heavier. He promises it will be in 3-D. "It's a movie that is in no way a remake or a re-imagining or a reboot of the '80s version or the serial version," "No Queen [music]. It is not camp in any way. I actually enjoyed the campy 80's film. We're going back to the original Alex Raymond [comic strip] scripts and imagining if he were living today, what would those strips be like?" Eisner is moving forward on his new movie version of the classic sci-fi story. "Flash Gordon is a movie I've been pursuing for years, and I finally was able to orchestrate it going to Sony from Hearst," Eisner added: "We hired writer

Owen Wilson Finds Some Wood

Owen Wilson Finds Some Wood Owen Wilson is attached to star in the new Woody Allen movie that will shoot this summer. As with all the writer-director’s film work, Allen is keeping the untitled feature’s story line and characters hush-hush, and it’s not clear how big Wilson’s role is. In November, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, France’s first lady, mentioned that Allen had seduced her into taking a role in the film, though the writer-director’s camp would not confirm. The UTA-repped Wilson most recently voiced a supporting role in Wes Anderson’s animated “Fantastic Mr. Fox.” The actor has also voiced the title role in the Fox comedy “Marmaduke,” which hits theaters in June. Beyond that, Wilson will appear in December release: “Meet the Fockers” sequel coming from Universal. Please Leave A Comment- Source- THR

James Cameron Gives Advice For Spider-Man Reboot

James Cameron Gives Advice For Spider-Man Reboot Director James Cameron, who raised 3-D filmmaking to new heights with Avatar, is downplaying reports that he is consulting with director Marc Webb about a rebooted Spider-Man movie. Though Cameron's Avatar producing partner Jon Landau told MTV that the duo met with Webb, Cameron now tells MTV, "I never talked with them directly" - Cameron added that he's happy to speak with Webb, who will be shooting the new Spidey movie in 3-D, but added, "It's not like I want to tell them how to do it. ... It's more like, just don't make the same dumbass mistakes that we made for 10 years." As for what Cameron would like to see in a new, rebooted Spider-Man? (Remember that Cameron himself once wanted to adapt Spidey to the movies.) "I'd like to seem him reinvented in the same way that Batman got reinvented. ... That's very successful," he said. Christoph Waltz Playing A Circus Freak

Christoph Waltz Playing A Circus Freak Hollywood is always looking for great villains. Now I’m told that Christoph Waltz, a frontrunner in the Best Supporting Actor race for his portrayal of the charmingly sadistic Col Hans Landa, will make a deal to star with Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson in "Water for Elephants,"the Richard LaGravanese-scripted adaptation of the Sara Gruen novel for Fox 2000. Francis Lawrence is directing. The role at first appeared to belong to Sean Penn who's been on a self-imposed big screen sabbatical, but the deal went south. Instead, Waltz will play the heavy in the Depression Era romantic triangle involving a veterinary medicine student (Pattinson) who joins a 2nd-rate travelling circus and falls for the star performer (Witherspoon). Waltz will play her husband, a dangerous paranoid schizophrenic animal trainer who is as mean to his wife as he is to the circus creatures. Waltz was a journeyman German TV actor when Quentin Tarantino cast
