"Contagion" Up Next For Matt Damon

"Contagion" Up Next For Matt Damon So just how good is Scott Z. Burns' "Contagion" script? It's so good that Steven Soderbergh decided to push everything else aside to fast track it for a fall start. An action-thriller about the outbreak of a deadly virus, from what we've heard, Burns' script is a multi-strand film not unlike the Academy award-winning "Traffic" that Soderbergh helmed in 2000. Our sources tell us the story takes place over four continents and is "terrifying." The project has attracted the likes of Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, Jude Law and Marion Cotillard who all have deals closing to star in the film. With the cast in place, Soderbergh and his people are now shopping the project around town with co-financing already in place from Participant Productions. Undoubtedly with a great cast already locked, and with comparisons to "Traffic" and "Bourne" being thrown around, this one will get snapped up q

Tim Robbins Joins Green Lantern Cast

Tim Robbins Joins Green Lantern Cast Tim Robbins has joined the cast of Green Lantern in the role of Senator Hammond, whose disapproving parental style is one of the reasons that Dr Hector Hammond (Peter Sarsgaard ) ends up turning evil. The other reason, of course, is that Hammond Jr becomes infused with psychic powers from a strange meteorite and goes insane. As you do. Martin Campbell has recruited Robbins to the cast to star alongside Ryan Reynolds (as our hero) and Blake Lively (as his love interest, Carol Ferris). They’ll be reporting to the set in March to start shooting and Robbins also be no doubt hoping that this comic book film appearance wipes his early dabble with the genre off his CV, in the infamous Howard The Duck. Snoop Dogg and Darth Vader The Odd Couple. Adidas Promotion

Snoop Dogg and Darth Vader The Odd Couple. Adidas Promotion Weird pairing Snoop Dogg and Darth Vader? Well I guess Vader is the original pimp and the OG Snoop Dogg had to hook up with the dark lord himself to help promote the New Adidas Star Wars shoe and clothing line that just came out. The event took place at Time Square Foot Locker Store. to help promote the new Star Wars line of sneakers from Adidas. I would love to get my hands on a pair of these shoes, but with a size 16 show they are pretty hard to come by. To check out the Star Wars line click here . Please Leave A Comment- Source- hypebeast

Captain America Update From Joe Johnston

Captain America Update From Joe Johnston Hero Complex got a chance to talk to Joe Johnsdton about his coming coming film "The First Avenger: Captain America," But director Joe Johnston and the team at Marvel Studios have a plan for "The First Avenger: Captain America," which is due in Summer 2011: They've added a new wrinkle to the classic mythology to explain why a scientifically enhanced super-soldier would venture out in the WWII battlefields in a costume that leans a bit heavy on the old Betsy Ross imagery. "The costume is a flag, but the way we're getting around that is we have Steve Rogers forced into the USO circuit. After he's made into this super-soldier, they decide they can't send him into combat and risk him getting killed. He's the only one and they can't make more. So they say, 'You're going to be in this USO show' and they give him a flag suit. He can't wait to get out of it." That's a whole new

With it being Superbowl weekend and all the guys at home and the women nothing to do, they flocked to the movies this weekend. Sony-quarterbacked "Dear John" thwarted a drive by James Cameron's "Avatar" for an eighth No. 1 weekend, as the over-achieving romantic drama's wily counter-programming play scored an estimated $32.4 million in opening domestic boxoffice during Super Bowl weekend. "Avatar" posted a $23.6 million tally to grab second place on the frame, just days after receiving nine Oscar nominations. The sci-fi epic -- which this week became the top-grossing domestic release ever, after previously setting foreign and global records -- lifted its cumulative boxoffice to $630.1 million domestically and $2.21 billion worldwide.
