Super Troopers 2 Being Developed Now

Super Troopers 2 Being Developed Now The Broken Lizard comedy team confirms that they’re three drafts into Super Troopers 2, they have the financing, they’ll soon prepare to take the movie to Fox, and Brian Cox is definitely planning on reprising his role. This morning I had the pleasure of interviewing Jay Chandrasekhar, Paul Soter, Steve Lemme, and Erik Stolhanske — four of the five members of Broken Lizard, the guys behind Super Troopers, Club Dread, and Beerfest. The bulk of the interview was devoted to their newest comedy, The Slammin’ Salmon , which opens on December 11th, so expect the full interview in a couple of weeks. I did, however, manage to get some solid details about the much-rumored Super Troopers 2. “We have the financing,” Chandrasekhar said. “So we’re going to try to make a deal with Fox.” “We’re like, three drafts into it,” Lemme added. “It’s funny, because we have an independent financier — we have a lot of independent financiers — who are like, ‘Give us that

Ratings For" V "Come Down Crashing

Ratings For" V "Come Down Crashing After last week's record-setting premiere, ABC's "V" was destined to drop in the ratings for episode two. Driven by 1980s nostalgia and plenty of marketing, viewer curiosity ran high for the debut -- a pattern we've seen in recent years for network remakes of "Knight Rider," "90210" and "American Gladiators." Tuesday night's decline, therefore, was not exactly surprising ... yet it was pretty steep. The second "V" hour was seen by 10.7 million viewers and drew a 3.8 rating among adults 18-49, down 27% from last week. That's the largest fall from a premiere we've seen for a scripted show this season. The rating is still a successful number for a freshman drama. If "V" can remain anywhere close to this neighborhood, the show will be fine. The drop put "V" into second place at 8 p.m., with CBS' "NCIS" (21 million, 4.4) resuming control o

Only up side about this film will be that it is being penned by "Mad Men" writer-producer Marti Noxon . The original "Fright Night," released in 1985, was written and directed by Tom Holland and starred Chris Sarandon, Roddy McDowall and William Ragsdale. Ragsdale played a teenager who discovers his neighbors are vampires. The new version will keep the comedy-horror tone while modernizing the effects. Producers Michael De Luca, Michael Gaeta and Alison Rosenzweig set up the "Fright Night" project in May. DreamWorks co-president of production Mark Sourian is overseeing for the studio.
