Ponyo Free Screening at San Diego Comic Con

HITFIX is presenting a FREE screening of the Movie Ponyo by Hayao Miyazaki. Screening will be held at Reading Pacific Gaslamp 15 First come first serve. Be there early if you want to get in to the screening. Doors open at 7PM and Movie starts at 8PM It's been ten years since Hayao Miyazaki came to America to promote "Princess Mononoke," the first of his films to get a major push theatrically here. That was through Miramax, back when they were a Disney company, and since then, the Studio Ghilbli deal has moved over to the Walt Disney label, where they've been slowly but surely putting out most of the Ghibli library on DVD with new English-language dubs. Honestly, I can't think of any anime library that's been better treated overall, and I'm sure a big part of that is because of John Lasseter and his boundless respect for Miyazaki. At this point, when Lasseter talks, Disney listens. If you would like more info please visit HF

Beever's Harry Potter and the half blood prince Review from a fans point of view.Spoiler

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince has lived up to the high standards now expected for the Harry Potter franchise . Daniel Radcliffe , Rupert Grint , and Emma Watson have really done well in the roles of Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Part of what makes this franchise successful is that these actors as well as the other actors in the franchise have stuck with the roles (with the obvious exception of the late Richard Harris who died after portraying Albus Dumbledore in the first two movies) and the fact that they will remain in the roles through the next two movies. Yes, I know that there is only one more book but they are going to split it into two movies. I know some people think that this is just to make more money from the franchise since it is nearing the end but I like believe it is so they can include as much of the storyline as possible. I think I may have enjoyed this movie more than the others since this is the first time I have not re-read the whole book right
