Bruce Lee's "The Silent Flute" To Be Remade Paul Maslansky is developing "The Silent Flute," a martial arts feature based on a treatment written by Bruce Lee prior to his death in 1973. Maslansky produced an earlier version of the movie in 1978 -- better known as " Circle of Iron " -- with the late Sandy Howard. He secured rights to the project from Howard's widow, Arlene Howard. The Silent Flute will be an epic martial arts adventure film that promises to honor Bruce Lee's original artistic and philosophical conception," said Paul Maslansky, who is exec producing. Peter Jackson Gives Update On "The Hobbit" We have some good news about the long over due and much anticipated film "The Hobbit" Peter Jackson gives fans the most recent update on where the two Hobbit films are. We've just delivered the script. Literally last week, we delivered the second of the two screenplays -- the first draft. So the studio's got both scripts now, which is a milestone; and if anything was holding it up, it was us doing the screenplays, because we'd just been writing as fast as we can, but it took us this long to get them finished. So we take whatever responsibility there is for the speed. And we're now in the process of budgeting the films, and then hopefully we'll get to a budget the studio [people] are happy with, and they'll greenlight the movies and we'll announce the shooting dates. Fanboys Coming To Blu-Ray I am a huge fan of the film, and even a bigger fan of the director Kyle Newman . I got a chance to talk to Kyle last year at the Scream Awards even though it was brief , this guy was super cool. (JERSEY MIKE's.)  So yeah, I am going to let you know about the release of this Blu-ray and great film. We have gotten word that Amazom has begun to take pre-orders of the film and is set to be released on July 27, 2010. A little history about this film-when this film was set to be released in Theaters it went through hell just to get there. So many bumps and bull shit in the road for this film to over come. The film was set to be released on August 17, 2007, but was pushed back for a January 2008 release date. But, oh wait, the film kept getting pushed back further and further which I think really killed the box office total for this film. Jamie Foxx Welcome s You To The Jungle Sorry about the Picture I had to use this one. LOL  Now back to the story.  Jamie Foxx is not starring in a Guns and Roses film, but in a 20th Century Fox Animation toon " Welcome to the Jungle ," based on an original pitch by Foxx and scribe Malcolm Spellman. Foxx is attached to star in the animated pic, which he'll produce with manager and partner Jamie Rucker King via their company FoxxKing Entertainment. Foxx, a Grammy winning R&B artist, also will write original music for the film. Spellman is penning the script, although Fox is keeping the storyline under tight wraps.
