Hugh Jackman To Star In "Reel Steel" "Reel Steel" is a Rocky-esque tale of a fighter who has to reinvent himself when human boxing becomes obsolete, replaced by 2000 pound human-like robots. Jackman is negotiating to play the ex-fighter, who becomes a Robot Boxing promoter, but whose chances of success are hampered by his access to sub-standard robot parts. That is until he discovers a discarded robot that always seems to win. The ex-fighter has also discovered he's the father of a 13-year old son, and they bond as the robot brawls its way toward the top. Marvel and Sony's Impact At The Brand Licensing Expo The Brand Licensing Europe event is going on in London’s Olympia, Selling Big name Franchises. So what is the presence of Marvel and Sony on the floor? At the Brand Licensing Exhibition in London today, the Iron Man 2, Avengers and Thor movies were being promoted to potential licensees. Marvel didn’t have much of a presence per se but instead had a massive Stark Industries booth with the five Iron Man suits from San Diego and a bunch of Stark Industries security guards. It’s worth noting that both Iron Man 2 and Thor are being promoted with an “Avengers Assemble” tag. They are so going to milk the tie-ins here. Bomb Scare On The Set Of The Green Hornet Looks like someone doesn't want this movie made. The production of this movie has been going threw so many issue since they first announced that the movie was going to get made.The production has been delayed, the release date was bumped, and Stephen Chow quit as director and later as the actor playing Kato. This after writers as diverse as Christopher McQuarrie and Kevin Smith tried and failed to adapt the material for film. It happened at a parking lot in the Mid-Wilshire area of Los Angeles. Wentworth Miller To Star In 'Resident Evil: Afterlife' I was a Huge Fan of Fox's Prison Break Show and enjoyed watching Wentworth Miller on the show. He most recently Starred on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" as Officer Nate Kendall Wentworth Miller has come aboard to star in “ Resident Evil: Afterlife ,” the fourth installment of the popular film series from Screen Gems and Constantin Film, which begins production this week in Toronto. The movie will be shot and released in 3-D. Miller joins a returning Milla Jovovich as the zombie-fighting heroine, as well as Ali Later and Spencer Locke, both of whom reprise their roles from “Resident Evil: Extinction.” Also returning is Paul W.
