Another key piece of the upcoming second season of FX’s hit drama series American Horror Story has fallen into place. Zachary Quinto , who did a scene-stealing four-episode arc on the first season of the Ryan Murphy/Brad Falchuk drama as the Harmon house’s doomed former co-owner Chad Warwick , will be back as a series regular in Season 2, joining Jessica Lange . Like Lange, he will play a brand new character next season, which is set at an East Coast institution. What’s more, I have learned that Quinto will play one of two male leads and the nemesis to Lange’s character, which will be at the center of the Season 2 storyline. Idris Elba ’s film career is going great guns at the moment, with a heartily varied range of roles. And now it looks like he wants to try his hand at being truly menacing. He’s signed on to co-star with Taraji P Henson in the thriller No Good Deed . The act of charity in question involves Henson as a former District Attorney who has opted to become a stay-at-home-mom to her two children. Their lives take a turn for the scare-shaped when they offer a ride to a compelling stranger whose car runs off the road in front of them. Cue kidnapping, terror and, we’d expect, Henson getting the chance to be tough. Clearly, there is a lesson to be learned from all of this: do not ever five strangers a ride from the side of the road even if they are as seemingly as charming and handsome as Idris Elba . It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Ralph McQuarrie . People say you should never meet your heroes. Ralph was the exception to that rule. We were all fans of his amazing art long before we were blessed with his friendship. But once you got to know Ralph it was impossible not to become a fan of Ralph the man. Ralph was a very special person for many more reasons than his undeniable brilliance with a brush. He was an especially kind, sensitive, deep, modest, funny and fascinating gentleman. And as fine a role model as any one could have wished for. His influence on design will be felt forever. Bruce Willis has signed on to star in action thriller Five Against a Bullet . The official synopsis for Five Against a Bullet is as follows: "A Mexican politician who, after his father is killed by a drug cartel, hires the five best bodyguards from around the world to protect him through a contentious election." Producers Lorenzo DiBonaventura, Jordan Schur and David Mimran are developing the project for Columbia Pictures/Mimran Schur, president of production Hannah Minghella announced. Alex Litvak (The Three Musketeers) is penning the script. "We have been excited about this project since acquiring the rights last year from Mimran Schur and believe Bruce Willis is the perfect actor to lead this cast," Minghella said Thursday in a statement. As Sacha Gervasi gears up to bring a chunk of cinematic history to life with Alfred Hitchcock And The Making Of Psycho , he’s locked down two stars to play the most iconic elements (besides Hitch himself) for the film-within-the-film: Scarlett Johansson will be Janet Leigh and James D’Arcy is playing Anthony Perkins.
