Smallville returns from hiatus with a new episode on April 15. A week later, on April 22, two DC Comics characters will be making an appearance in the episode: Booster Gold and Blue Beetle . At Wonder Con this year they showed us 10 minutes of never before seen footage for the upcoming film Green Lantern . But Warner Bros. doesn't want to leave people out that were unable to attended the event this year. So they released this 4 minute clip for you. The clip gives me more hope for this film. The Dark Knight Rises , the third installment in Christopher Nolan's Batman franchise starring Christian Bale , is shooting in Pittsburgh. "Pittsburgh is a beautiful city," Nolan says in a statement. "We have been able to find everything we were looking for here, and I am excited to spend the summer in Pittsburgh with our final installment of Batman." Nolan has already met with representatives of Mayor Luke Ravenstahl, who tells the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: “We are thrilled to be welcoming the Batman film to Pittsburgh, and eager for the economic impact that our city will experience. This is another example of the growing film industry in our community, and we will be rolling out the red carpet for them." This weekend at the San Francisco WonderCon, Disney•Pixar debuted a new viral for Cars 2 in the form of a car parked outside the Moscone Center that featured the Twitter handle @ChromeLeaks . The Twitter account sends fans to Cars-N-Deals.com, which is a faux advertisement for "Cars N' Deals of Emeryville" directed by Chris Cantwell (who directed the Lots-o-Huggin' Bear faux ad last year for Toy Story 3). comingsoon had the sharp eye and spotted this information out. Casting for the male leads on The Hunger Games isn't complete. Liam Hemsworth has been casted  for the role of Gale Hawthorne, and that Josh Hutcherson is in the same position for the role of Peeta Mellark. In the Gary Ross-directed adaptation of the Suzanne Collins novel trilogy, Gale is the hunting partner of Katniss Everdeen ( Jennifer Lawrence ), and Peeta is the baker's son chosen to accompany her as the district's entry into the deadly Hunger Games reality show competition. Both have been hotly contested roles among young actors, as was Katniss before Lawrence got the job. Both of these guys look right for the respective parts. I had the honor and pleasure to interview Cindy Morgan this weekend at Wonder Con, what a dream that was for me. Growing up a huge Tron fan I never thought I would get the opportunity to even meet or talk to her. This weekend a little boys dream cam true. I had the pleasure of attending the round tables for the upcoming Tarsem Singh's Immortals . In this inteview we get the chance to talk to Henry Cavill (upcoming Superman Reboot) and Luke Evans (Robin Hood).In the film Henry Cavill plays Theseus while Luke Evans plays Zeus. I didn't have my video camera ready when the first question was asked, so this is what I pulled from my tape recorder. But the rest of the interview I did catch. We asked the obvious question first had to do with Superman? Some asked if he had been cast in something. Obviously I'm excited, who wouldn't be. This is a mega opportunity and just getting started. Disney/Pixar’s sequel Monsters University will be released on June 21, 2013, instead of early November 2012. Instead, Disney’s toon Reboot Ralph will open on Nov. 12, 2012. Ralph had been originally scheduled to open on March 12, 2013. In its new home, Monsters University opens two weeks after DreamWorks Animation and Paramount release Turbo . WonderCon became ThunderCon! today with the world premiere of a new trailer for ThunderCats , an all-new animated series from Warner Bros. Animation coming soon to Cartoon Network . Warner Bros. Animation also presented the first-ever fan-convention panel for the new series at WonderCon , featuring producers Michael Jelenic (Batman: The Brave and the Bold) and Ethan Spaulding (Avatar: The Last Airbender), art director Dan Norton and Larry Kenney — who provides the voice of Claudus in the new ThunderCats and was the original Lion-O in the 1980s version. The four talked about the creative vision for the new series and also answered fan questions.
