But the vagaries of filmmaking deals demand that things take time to lock in and Singer has just officially signed his contract to tackle the next instalment. With Simon Kinberg back writing the script based on ideas he’s thrown around with Singer, Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris, the new film will be set a decade after Days and discovers what happens when all the time-tinkering his unleashed the powerful mutant Apocalypse who will cause trouble for our heroes.
